Beta evidence
Quick answer
Mortal Shell II removes the traditional stamina bar. Prioritize learning Harden timing, posture breaks, Resolve use, Shell possession, and a safe route between Beacons and Marrow Keep before chasing optional loot.
01
Your first combat loop
The opening hours reward patience more than repeated light attacks.
- Use Harden to absorb a hit, then punish the recovery window.
- Break enemy posture before committing to a long attack string.
- Save Resolve for the weapon or sidearm effect that matches your Shell build.
02
Choose a Shell and weapon
Shell identity is the foundation of your build.
- Find a fallen body to possess a Shell and open a new ability path.
- Tiel is an early discovery in the beta and favors dodge and stealth play.
- Pair a reliable primary weapon with a sidearm that does not drain Resolve faster than you can build it.
03
Explore without losing the run
A short route is often better than a greedy one when resources are at risk.
- Use Beacons and Marrow Keep as landmarks in the exploration loop.
- Mark optional dungeons and Tarstone routes before committing to a boss attempt.
- Return to upgrade Shell Points or Glimpses when a new ability meaningfully changes your survivability.
